History

The history of the burn injury can provide indicators to the extent and severity of burn, likelihood of inhalation injury or associated injuries. This includes the time of injury, mechanism of injury, the causative agent and any care provided so far.

Accurate early assessment and the initial management of the burn injured patient impacts on morbidity and mortality post injury
